My name is Juliana and I’ve been a student at MDM studios for 5 years and counting. I have had an extremely positive experience being Mrs. Maria’s voice and piano student. I have grown so much as a performer and artist with her guidance, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity of one on one attention regarding my practice. What I like the most about MDM studios is that Mrs. Maria individualizes each and every aspect of a lesson to cater to what one needs as a performer, and she is able to calculate exactly what exercises and practices will help someone’s specific voice type to improve. In January 2010 I responded to a classified advertisement in our local newspaper for a voice teacher. After speaking with Maria Mazzola on the phone and going over her credentials…NYU graduate, employed with Disney etc. I knew that Maria would be a great voice teacher for my daughter. Not only is Maria a phenomenal voice teacher, but she is also compassionate and encourages her students to do their very best. I would (and do) recommend Maria to anyone who is searching for a top level voice instructor. My daughter has worked with a couple of voice teachers in the past, but Maria has brought my daughter to a higher level in voice training.
As a parent I was looking for a voice teacher for my daughter who could provide good training while at the same time a person she could feel comfortable with and respect. With Maria, we received so much more and found her teaching to be a great treasure! Until Maria, I could not find anyone that my daughter liked and wanted to train with. Maria is not only a top rate voice teacher but an ideal coach with an exceptional personality, and an excellent example for my young daughter to emulate. My daughter improved tremendously and found an inner confidence in her singing. She loves studying and singing with Maria. If that was not enough, my daughter went from being behind the class in her singing to the number one spot which she won in an audition after training and preparing with Maria!

Maria has not only helped me with the sound quality of my voice, but she has trained me to breathe correctly and have sound projection. In every lesson we spend half the time warming up, which really helps my technique and teaches me how to become a professional singer. My voice has improved and become much more mature since my time with her.
Hi! My name is Abby. I am 8 years old. Maria has been teaching me piano for about 2 years now. She has taught me so much. I really love playing piano and taking lessons from Maria.
Maria has been a wonderful piano instructor to my daughter, Abby. She is patient and works amazingly with kids. Abby looks forward to her lessons every week and has progressed beautifully in the 2 years Maria has been instructing her.
Maria is simply amazing. I am a new student and I’ve only had a few lessons so far but I have already learned so much. Maria’s amazing warm-ups and techniques make the biggest impact on the way you use your voice and how it sounds. Within the first two lessons with Maria I was amazed at how much I learned about how to use my voice properly and I was already hearing a difference. I always look forward to my lessons with Maria to learn more each week and to absorb her amazing techniques. She always helps me and gives me the courage and confidence needed to succeed in this business and encourages me to audition. I love going to Maria for piano and voice lessons because she is very nice, patient, and doesn’t mind explaining something I didn’t understand. She makes my voice lessons fun by giving me some funny exercises. She gives interesting piano and voice pieces and is always open to the songs I like. She even gives me a CD of the songs I sing so I can practice them at home. She always motivates me to keep practicing and tells me when I did a great job. I like that at the end of our lesson she let’s me choose some stickers from her collection! She is very passionate about piano and singing! I really enjoy taking lessons with her. She has an awesome voice!
When my husband and I saw Maria’s credentials, we were immediately impressed. When I spoke to her on the phone, she sounded very accommodating and nice. Our 9 year old daughter had a trial lesson and the rest is history 🙂
Our daughter has been taking lessons with Maria for a little less than a year now and she loves it! She misses Maria when she doesn’t get to attend her lessons due to schedule conflicts. One thing we appreciate about Maria is her flexibility. She is always willing to work with us when an emergency arises or rare occasions when our schedules conflict. She also makes her lessons fun which is the reason my daughter enjoys it very much. Maria is very patient and ensures that she understands the lesson. She goes by our daughter’s learning speed and gives her lots of motivation and praises her for a job well done. When I asked her to help my daughter with her Talent Show song this year, she was more than willing to do so. The result — a great success! 🙂

She takes it seriously, she truly cares for her students, a person you can trust who is very organized and reliable, and is just genuinely a kind and caring person. I have been going to Maria for about a year now, and she has unquestionably helped me become a more well rounded performer. I came to her in a bind, needing to prepare for a singing portion of an important Broadway audition. Miss Maria makes playing the piano a very FUN and AWESOME experience for me! She helps me with my piano skills and picks out the BEST pieces for me to play. She has music from Disney classics and modern songs to old time rock and Frank Sinatra! Miss Maria encourages my brother and myself to practice piano and teaches us new things every week!
Maria is a wonderful teacher to work with. I have only been taking a few voice lessons from her and I have already learned so much! She has great techniques on warm-ups and how to use your voice correctly. Also, she has helped me improve my voice so much that my range has grown a lot and I can hit notes I never thought I would reach! Maria is a wonderful piano teacher. My kids adore Maria and have honed their playing skills tremendously since they began taking lessons from Maria. Maria offers unique and creative ways to develop my kids’ interest and love for playing the piano. To my beautiful teacher and friend, with not only an amazing voice and undeniable talent, but also a heart and soul of gold. Where do I begin? I started with Maria in October of 2011, after searching far and wide for a decent voice teacher. I was losing all hope, after “taking off” from singing for a couple of years, gaining bad vocal habits and losing my technique. I almost called it quits and thought I’d never sing again, when I was introduced to Maria, by a great family friend. Since that day, my voice and I couldn’t be more grateful. Besides fully restrengthening my voice, Maria has educated me on countless levels, whether it is technique, vocalization, annunciation, vocal health and style – she has given me the confidence I need to just sing, and not worry. Maria believes in me even when I feel I can’t do it. Whenever I walk in the room there is always a warm smile to greet me. You can tell Maria truly loves kids and enjoys her job. Maria is always happy, upbeat and positive. Maria has such an amazing voice! Listening to her helps me want to be just like her. She always gives me helpful feedback and encourages me to feel the music and understand what the pieces are about so that when I perform, I am giving the best performance I can. She explains not just how to play the piano but teaches you notes, beats, measures etc. I have had so much fun learning from her. I am looking forward to working with Maria for a very long time!
My 11 year old daughter Amanda has been working with Miss Maria for 2 years now and is loving it! Miss Maria is an amazing teacher that is warm and friendly and I believe inspires people to play piano and/or sing. She also has a strong musical background and resume, which I believe aides to her teaching ability. My daughter loves going to Miss Maria’s music class each week as she’s greeted with a warm smile!!!
